About the Position:

The Senior Individual Giving Manager builds meaningful relationships and gains vital funding from individual donors. They will work with the Development Director to create annual goals and strategies for raising individual support while following the Community Centric Fundraising principles. This role will also supervise the Development and Database Coordinator, the Development Associate, and the Major Gifts Officer. This position will work closely with the CEO, Development Director, and other departments. This is a hybrid role, and staff must work 3 – 4 days in the office per week.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly 1:1 and 1:many outreach goals, conducting meaningful 1-1 meetings with donors through a values-based lens
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to maintain and enhance the individual donor infrastructure
  • Lead prospect research to identify potential donors who align with People Serving People's mission and values
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring donor stewardship efforts are effectively implemented
  • Work diligently towards achieving annual individual giving fundraising goals, employing strategic and donor-centric approaches
  • Maintain accurate donor database records in Salesforce
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and CEO to create and manage their donor portfolios, fostering strong relationships and support
  • Project manage annual fund strategies and campaigns, including online strategies, in collaboration with the communications team, ensuring alignment with Community Centric Fundraising Principles
  • Lead the planning and execution of individual giving strategy for fundraising events in coordination with the communications team
  • Implement improvements to donor records systems as needed and run and analyze monthly donation reports for insights and adjustments
  • Occasionally represent People Serving People at public events
  • Supervise assigned staff and promote the growing major gifts program

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary of $85,000 to 95,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent four years of experience required
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar non-profit development role required
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Twin Cities' philanthropic environment and individual donor processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, research, writing, and presentation skills
  • Dedication to representing our guests and clients with respect and dignity
  • Familiarity with using a database for fund management
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues of homelessness, poverty, social justice
  • Comfortable with public speaking and meeting facilitation
  • Strong racial equity lens and cultural humility
  • Strong adaptive, interpersonal, and written communicator
  • People with lived experience in homelessness, BIPOC individuals, and LGBTQ2S+ individuals are strongly encouraged to apply
