Position Summary

The EP tech works closely with the Cardiologists and other healthcare professional staff during interventional and electrophysiology procedures. The EP tech is in constant communication with patients, families, and referring clinics regarding scheduling procedures and test results.

This position will include responsibilities in the EP lab, exercise lab, as well as clinic.

Are there any required certifications or professional credentials that Children's requires but are not required by law? PALS or ACLS, BLS

Are there any preferred certifications or professional credentials? No

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Science or other Health care related field

Required Experience:
* At least 1 year clinical and/or EP lab experience
* Able to setup, and monitor GXT's and CPST's and be familiar with Treadmill and Ergometer
Protocols

Preferred Experience:
* 2 years clinical and/or EP lab experience
* Pacemaker/ICD/ILR Interrogation Experience (1+ year)
* Holter Scanning Experience (2+ years)
* EP lab experience (2+ years)

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Must be able to identify basic ECG rhythms and identify abnormal rhythms
* Able to work independently
* Able to interact with pediatric population and their families

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of cardiac holter monitors and event monitors
* Must be able to take vitals (mostly blood pressures for stress tests)
* Must be a team player

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
