Apply: https://www.lsijax.com/careers/ General Summary The Configuration Specialist administers the engineering tools (CAD, SolidWorks PDM, AzureDevOps, and Bug Tracking Software) and configuration management tools for LSI training devices. This includes installation, support, problem solving, procedures, training, and licensing. Work is regularly assigned by self, supervisor, and departmental staff. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to exercise prudent judgment, decision making, and analytical skills to determine manner and operational steps necessary to properly handle inquiries and perform daily tasks within professional standards. Essential Job Functions Works with IT and Engineering in the installation and configuration of client software, and server structure for engineering tools. Advanced SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) system maintenance and troubleshooting. User support and permission management. Processes automation and continuous improvement. Configuration management and Quality Control. Operation and maintenance of the PDM workflow task server. Troubleshoots and fixes server errors on PDM workflow task server. SolidWorks and AutoCAD Application and User Support. CAD Hardware/Library Maintenance and Support. Provides support for CAD Templates and Standards. Documents and trains users in best practices. Administers user settings and access. Assists with engineering workflow and process improvement. Works with Engineering to develop data vaults. Maintains list of licenses, and track renewals. Develops budget proposals for all engineering software. Coordinates with Engineering Management. Monitors engineering software efficiencies and recommends improvements to increase efficiency. Assists with data exchange between engineering and manufacturing. Develops process for managing TDP (Technical Data Package) depository. Assists in drafting tasks when required. Supervisory Responsibilities None Job Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must possess a solid understanding of ASME/ANSI drawing standards. Experience with SolidWorks EPDM required. Must have the ability to generate and edit workflows within SolidWorks EPDM required. Experience with SolidWorks required. Experience with AutoCAD required. Experience with Azure DevOps and/or other Bug Tracking software. Must be able to obtain a security clearance if required by the contract. Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere. Must be detail oriented. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a technical-related field or an associate degree, or high school diploma, and applicable work experience. Two (2) years applicable Configuration Management experience. PDM Professional Administrator training is preferred.
