Assistant Service Manager Ford/Isuzu

The assistant service manager has excellent customer service skills and a can-do attitude to support the service manager with administrative tasks.

This position is full time, Monday thru Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
  • Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
  • Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
  • Answer phones and direct consumer to the proper person and follow up in a timely manner
  • Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
  • Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spent on hold
  • Assist the service manager with various clerical duties and other tasks as needed
  • Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
  • Learn and carry out internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently
  • May include light cleaning of office area as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus
  • Ability to communicate customers' interests needs and requests to management and sales personnel in a professional manner
  • Familiarity with dealership service departments preferred.
  • 2+ years Customer Service
  • Prior phone handling/reception duties preferred
  • Prior cash/currency experience
  • Professional personal appearance and manner

Education:

  • Preferred:  Associates degree or higher
  • Minimum:High School education
  • CDK knowledge a plus
