Hello!
In recent months, many Minnesota companies have had to scale back their diversity programs. It just didn’t make sense when the companies were doing layoffs or holding the line on hiring. A lot of the companies Diversity Minnesota works with are now planning on increasing their hiring in the next few months. This is a great time to learn how Diversity Minnesota has been expanding our network with local community organizations and through social media. We continue to work with and add new community organizations daily. We are committed to helping our sponsor companies achieve their workplace diversity goals. Lets work together to strengthen your company and support the many diverse communities Minnesota has to offer.
Warmest Regards,
Colette

Minnesota Reading Corps
Do you have friends, colleagues or volunteers interested in helping youth succeed in school? By third grade, children must have literacy skills in place to learn all school subjects. For those children who are falling behind, Minnesota Reading Corps members provide extra support to help them become successful readers. Applications are being accepted for literacy tutors throughout Minnesota. Members receive training and introduce proven tutoring methods to young students. Applicants serve one year beginning in August 2010, and earn a modest living allowance, an Education Award of up to $5,350, and for full-time members, health insurance. Learn more at www.MinnesotaReadingCorps.org.
