Training at St. Paul clinic for the first 2-3 months, then permanent placement at Duluth clinic. This position does include some outreach in the Duluth area. Job Objective/Purpose: To evaluate, cast, measure, design, fabricate, and fit all types and complexities of orthoses for patients resulting in a comfortable fit and a cosmetically acceptable orthosis that fulfills prescription treatment requirements. To act as a resource to students and individuals in residency programs. Qualifications ABC, BOC, or CBCPO certified Orthotic Practitioner. Excellent hand and power tool skills; creative technical problem solving ability; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct educational meetings within the department and community. Computer experience. Current CPR certification required, or must obtain certification within 90-days of hire.
