Job Description:

Job Title: Mathematics Education

Salary: Depends on Qualifications
Job Type: Probationary
Location: Winona, Minnesota

Responsibilities:
*Teach a variety of mathematics and mathematics education courses, including methods courses for middle or secondary education majors
***Contribute to all aspects of the department's mathematics education program
***Become actively engaged with K-12 schools, professional organizations, or other education related endeavors at the regional, state, or national level
***Maintain a productive program of scholarly activity
***Contribute to departmental, college and student activities

Minimum Qualifications:
***Ph.D. awarded (or documentation of satisfactory completion of the requirements for the degree) in Mathematics Education (to include degrees such as Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics) by July, 2012

Preferred Qualifications:
***Demonstrated potential for successful college teaching
***Mathematics teaching experience at the elementary, middle or secondary school level
***Evidence of an active research and scholarly agenda
***Effective oral and written communication skills

The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations
