Positions will be within our Med Surg, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Operating Room, NeonatalCare or Float Team communities,and be located either on our Minneapolis or St. Paul campuses.
RN New Graduate Training Program
The New Graduate Training Program at Children's Minnesota combines didactic and precepted clinical experiences designed to transition new graduate RN's from academic to the professional nursing environment. It prepares new graduate RNs tocoordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. It emphasizes accountability for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
If you are hired into this program, your initial orientation will beday shifts, generally Monday through Friday, until you, your manager, preceptor, Clinical Educator, and Clinical Education Specialist agree that you are ready to move to the shift and schedule you were hired into. You will continue orientation on your hired shift and schedule, depending on your customized orientation plan and your progress toward orientation competency goals.
Positions will vary from 0.6 FTE to 0.9 FTE .In addition, shifts will vary from position to position.

Interviews begin 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the program Offers are extended 3-5 weeks prior to the start of the program
*Graduating from an accredited Associate, BSN/BA or MSN/MAnursing program within 1 year from the start of the TTP cohort.
*Successful completion of MN nursing boards resulting in a MN RN license prior to the start of the program.
*Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
*Meet health requirements for employment at Children's
*An interest in working with children and families.
