SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of Youth Enrichment Site Lead, Summer Youth Staff assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all students. As part of the onsite team, you will ensure that every student is supervised at all times.
Hours: 11:30-4:00 pm, June 16-July 24 at Park Spanish Immersion
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with Youth Enrichment Program Manager or Youth Enrichment Coordinator daily before the start of the shift.Follow all District, program, and building health and safety proceduresMaintain confidentiality and privacy of children and families.Be a positive role model and leader to staff and studentsLead recreation time with students after lunch.Assist with lunch supervision.Care for program materials and resources.Support direct instruction to students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings

Knowledge of child development and development stagesAble to help organize activities for students and work well with a teamThe ability to speak and write clearly to communicate with othersThe ability to follow and support others in upholding standard behavior expectationsInteractions require talking with students, staff, parents, and others in the building/program
