Position Summary

Accountable for the day to day technical operations of Point of Care Testing (POCT). Supports testing and staffing activities to ensure POCT meets quality and service expectations. Acts as a lab liaison among all areas of the hospital. Provides leadership in quality, safety and regulatory activities.

Knowledge of POCT instrumentation and implementation of POCT programs. Knowledge of POCT regulations and accreditation with regulatory agencies. NCA (CLS) certification or ASCP (MT) certification or BS degree in medical technology or related field with five years point of care experience required.

Experience:
* Previous experience in a health care setting.
* Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of point of care experience.
* Previous leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Must be highly organized, efficient, and multifunctional.
* Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of laboratory point of care equipment, instrumentation and terminology.
* Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
* Ability to lead teams and coach individuals.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
